2021.12.05 19:44 rsziz Cornette: Punk and Bryan are still a draw, it's just the other stuff that's continuously dragging it down
Man the hardon Cornette and Last have for still trying to push the idea that Punk and Bryan are going to be needle movers for AEW, but it's the outlaw stuff that is causing the ratings to continue to drop out. Once Tony gets rid of all the guys that have made the show garbage over the last couple years, leaving only the ex-fed guys and the handful of indy guys that Cornette likes, despite hating what they were doing in NXT, WWE, and the indies prior, then the Fed will most certainly be dead.

2021.12.05 19:44 asdfsjdksk Are N95s also much better than surgical at preventing transmission from the person who might have COVID?
Wondering if I should make my parents wear N95s when they visit me, since my mom plays indoor sports with anti-vaxxers. They already wear surgical masks when visiting, but I'm being very careful since I'll be having surgery in a few weeks. If I'm already wearing an N95/94 myself, is it necessary to also have them wear one, or would it not make a significant difference?

2021.12.05 19:44 FudgeAcceptable97 How to keep metal from rusting?
I'm making rectangular piggy banks with no way of getting the money out and only the slot to put the money in. Only way to get them out is to cut metal (thin enough to easily cut with a hacksaw). I'm planning on painting the outsides in a design but I'm curious on if the inside metal will rust since it won't be painted and be just bare metal, and if so what can I do to keep it from rusting since it'll just have the 1 little money slot

2021.12.05 19:44 Biochem-anon3 Response to the WPATH SoC V8 draft on enbies
Someone posted a link post to it on this subreddit and asked if it was bullshit or not. They since deleted their post after I wrote my response, so I am posting it in a new thread. I cannot be bothered to find the link to a document containing only the chapter on enbies that the OP of that thread linked to, so here is the full draft.
(Written as I read through it.)
I do not really like the mention of neopronouns. I do not really like them supporting the idea of non-binary men and non-binary women, but it is correct that some enbies are closer to the female end of the gender spectrum and some are closer to the male end (I defend the concept of a gender spectrum in the next paragraph, but I ultimately view it as mainly semantics regarding if it should be called a spectrum or not).
The "Understanding gender identities and gender expressions as a non-linear spectrum" section seems mostly fine to me. They should have emphasized more that historical/cultural non-binary gender identities are not exactly equivalent to what we typically mean by non-binary. You could disagree with calling it a spectrum, but that is mostly semantics in my opinion. They discuss how someone could be positioned differently with regards to gender expression and gender identity. Trans men do not have to be masculine in terms of gender expression, trans women do not have to be feminine, and enbies do not have to be androgynous. I do not really agree with their position that it is incorrect to view men and women as being opposite ends of the gender spectrum and that masculinity and femininity are not opposite, but I do not really disagree with what they say regarding the implications of this idea. They are correct in saying that some enbies might be in a neutral position between the two (in terms of physical dysphoria this can be nullsex enbies) while others essentially combine masculinity and femininity (in terms of physical dysphoria this can be duosex enbies). They do make an important point that enbies should not simply be viewed as partial forms of trans women or trans men, we are not men-lite or women-lite. They are correct that the process of gender identity development is not fundamentally different for binary and non-binary trans people.
The "Need for access to gender affirming care" section seems fine to me. They are correct that enbies need access to medical treatment just as much as binary trans people. They are correct that the treatment of non-binary gender dysphoria is not always more complex than binary gender dysphoria. They are correct that sometimes the physicians do not know how to manage the cases that are more complex such that sometimes it is the patient that needs to teach the physician how to treat them; for example, many endocrinologists are not familiar with the usage of selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) in gender dysphoria, although in fairness it is a bit experimental at this point in time. They are correct that sometimes healthcare providers can be enbyphobic.
The "The need for an appropriate level of support" seems fine to me. They are correct that enbies need psychological support as well and not just endocrinological and surgical treatment, which also applies to binary trans. They are correct that enbies can face discrimination and minority stress, and that people are more likely to view enbies as invalid.
The "Gender affirming medical interventions for nonbinary people" seems fine to me. They are correct that some treatment options are fairly experimental such that the healthcare provider needs to go over it very carefully with the patient. They are correct that low-dose HRT and suppression of sex hormone production without HRT are not well-researched and have the potential for adverse effects, such that additional monitoring is indicated if such a treatment option is chosen. They are correct that you cannot really pick and choose the effects of sex hormones and that some of the effects are not reversible upon discontinuation (they do not discuss the usage of some experimental strategies for blocking some of the effects of HRT, such as SERMs for avoiding breast development).
Statement 1 is fine, enbies do need to be assessed on an individual basis in order to provide them with effect care. Statement 2 is fine, sometimes medical transition without social transition can be indicated for enbies, as some do not have social dysphoria. Statement 3 is fine, depending upon the patient's exact pattern of dysphoria surgical intervention without HRT can be indicated. Statement 4 is fine, enbies need to be informed regarding the risks of treatment on fertility and be offered sperm/egg banking just as much as binary trans people do.
Not all of the document is good, but it seems mostly fine to me.

2021.12.05 19:44 davorsoliver Need help
Anyone on here able to help or direct me to a fix for my 2009 mini cooper hatchback base. I am having issues with starting the car. Replaced spark plugs, coils recently, car ran fine until it would not start last Friday. Replaced dead battery. Car still tries to crank but won't turn over. Swapped plugs around and coils car almost started and then died. Still won't crank. Plugs are bosch iridiums, gapped to 32. Resistance checked all plugs are between 5.25-6.75 ohms. Outside of getting new coils and plugs am I missing something. Thanks in advance.
